2014 Spring production A Pack Of Lies
Rehearsals and set-building are well underway for Lyminge Dramatic Society’s next presentation, A Pack Of Lies, by Hugh Whitemore.
Set in the during the Cold War era of the 1960’s, the Jacksons are a nice English family and their best friends are their Canadian neighbours. All is blissful in their world until a detective from Scotland Yard asks to use the Jacksons’ house as an observation station to try and foil a Soviet spy ring operating in the area. The Jacksons become more and more put out as Scotland Yard’s demands on them increase and are really put to the test when the detective asks them to help set a trap to catch the spies. This is a play about the morality of lying, not the theatrics of espionage.
The play is on from Wednesday 9th April to Saturday 12th April at Lyminge Village Hall and starts at 7.45pm. Tickets are £7.50 and are available from www.nodaboxoffice.co.uk or from Laing Bennett Estate Agent, Station Road, Lyminge: 01303 863393. Senior concessions are £5.00 for the Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The Society’s very successful Youth Theatre continues to meet on Mondays at the Tayne Centre, Lyminge, from 5.45 pm. For more details contact Catherine on 862602.
